Marlies und Herbert Repkow Stiftung
About the funder
The Marlies and Herbert Repkow Foundation was established in 2013 by Marlies and Herbert Repkow to support the fight against cancer. Drawing on personal experiences with the disease, the foundation promotes oncology and internal medicine at Klinikum Bethel as well as the Bethel Children’s Center by providing modern medical devices and equipment for patients and medical trainees. Additionally, it supports the Biomedical Research Network Bielefeld/OWL e.V. with in-kind donations, funds a high-resolution fluorescence microscope for the OWL Medical Faculty, and provides further long-term funding through the estate of the founding family. Cooperation partners include Dr. Clown e.V., Pathly e.V., and the German Foundation for Young Adults with Cancer (DSFJEMK), aiming to offer patients courage, psychosocial support, and scientific insights.
