About the funder

The Max and Martha Scheerer Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Göppingen. For over 60 years, it has supported students in scientific and technical fields who were born in the Göppingen district or completed their schooling there. The foundation's goal is to facilitate talented young people’s entry into professional life by providing financial study grants from the 4th semester onward, thereby allowing them to focus on their studies without excessive part-time work. The foundation is funded through endowments and donations and is supervised by the Stuttgart Regional Council.

Mission & Vision

"Shaping the future means investing in education." The Max and Martha Scheerer Foundation is committed to supporting talented students in technical and scientific degree programs from the Göppingen region, enabling them to successfully start their professional careers and thereby contribute to strengthening the region.

Target groups

Students of technical and scientific degree programs at universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany who were born or completed their school education in the district of Göppingen are supported. The funding is aimed at students from the 4th semester onwards with good academic performance and demonstrated financial need.
