About the funder

The city of Meppen is a district town in the Emsland district of Lower Saxony with approximately 37,000 inhabitants and an area of 188 km². Meppen was granted city rights in 1360; since 1977, it has been a district town. As a municipal corporation, the city administration fulfills a wide range of tasks in the areas of urban development, social affairs, climate protection, economic promotion, as well as culture and leisure.
