About the funder
The Michael Wagner Foundation "Kinderlachen" is a public foundation under civil law, established on February 19, 2003, on the occasion of the 60th birthday of its founder, Michael Wagner Sr., and recognized as charitable and benevolent by the Government of Swabia in March 2003. It exclusively supports causes related to child and youth welfare, particularly needy, disabled, or homeless children, as well as day care centers, kindergartens, and corresponding aid organizations. Every euro received is forwarded without deductions to the supported institutions. All administrative expenses are borne voluntarily or privately by the Wagner family. The foundation operates nationwide, with a focus on the Swabia region (around Augsburg).

Mission & Vision
"Bringing joy and alleviating suffering is the goal of our work. Every sparkle in a child's eyes is a small affirmation and always a new motivation. We are committed to opening up opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people and supporting them in their development."
Target groups
The foundation's funding measures are aimed at children and adolescents in difficult life situations in Germany, particularly needy, disabled, or homeless children, as well as daycare centers, kindergartens, and child and youth welfare organizations. A special focus is placed on projects in Swabia to sustainably strengthen the structures of child and youth welfare in that region.
