About the funder
The Ministry of Education and Culture of Saarland (MBK) is a supreme state authority responsible for education policy, the school system, early childhood and vocational education, as well as cultural promotion in Saarland. Under the leadership of Minister Christine Streichert-Clivot, the MBK shapes strategic framework conditions for schools, continuing education institutions, cultural organizations, and artists in the state. Its core tasks include the development of curricula, the allocation of funding for cultural and educational projects, digitalization in schools, as well as the coordination of statewide programs such as scholarships, training and further education, and support for emerging artists.

Mission & Vision
The MBK is committed to equitable education and strong cultural diversity in Saarland. Target groups
The funding programs of the MBK are aimed at schools and teachers of all school types in Saarland, children, adolescents, and adults in vocational training and studies, continuing education providers, as well as politically and voluntarily engaged individuals, cultural institutions, associations, and freelance artists, projects in early childhood education, digitalization, and school social work, as well as participants in scholarship and exchange programs and statewide art and cultural projects.
