The Ministry for the Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Environment and Nature of the State of Schleswig-Holstein is responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of measures related to the energy transition, climate protection, as well as nature and environmental conservation in the state. It develops statewide strategies, coordinates funding programs, and issues legal regulations to ensure sustainable energy supply, reduced CO₂ emissions, and the preservation of ecosystems.

Our mission is to make Schleswig-Holstein a pioneer in the energy transition and climate protection, to safeguard natural habitats, and to promote biodiversity. We are committed to a sustainable energy policy, sustainable environmental standards, and the strengthening of nature and species conservation.

The ministry targets its programs, funding measures, and information services at citizens, businesses, municipalities, and environmental organizations in Schleswig-Holstein. The target groups are particularly energy producers and consumers, municipal administrations, non-profit organizations, as well as actors from science and research who are committed to climate protection, environmental protection, and nature conservation.
