Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Tourismus Baden-Württemberg

The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg is the highest state authority for the economic policy of the state and is responsible for the promotion of companies – especially small and medium-sized enterprises – as well as application-oriented research. With an extensive catalogue of measures, it also supports vocational training and further education, securing skilled labour, and international competitiveness. The Ministry oversees the supervisory responsibilities for chambers of industry and commerce, chambers of crafts, stock exchanges, as well as metrology and calibration services. It employs over 400 staff members and has its headquarters in the New Palace in Stuttgart.

The Ministry's goal is to leverage the strengths of Baden-Württemberg as a business location nationally and internationally, to promote innovation, dynamism, and performance, as well as to ensure sustainable growth and employment in the region.

The Ministry's funding programs are aimed at companies in Baden-Württemberg, particularly medium-sized enterprises, craft businesses, and start-ups, as well as research institutions and universities. Furthermore, the Ministry supports employees in professional development measures and graduates of advanced training programs.
