Nachbarschaftshilfe Henriette-Fürth-Straße Gießen
About the funder
The Henriette-Fürth-Straße Gießen Neighborhood Assistance Foundation was established in early 2003 by the Margaretenhütte e. V. project group, following a bequest made by the Varain couple in 1996. From the interest income of its assets, the foundation supports charitable group activities and projects in the Margaretenhütte residential area and its surroundings, for which no or insufficient public funding is available. The aim is to strengthen the community life of the residents, reduce social disadvantages, and promote a supportive neighborhood. The foundation grants both subsidies and investment funds to enable local initiatives and support self-organization and participation on site. By 2021, approximately €82,323.85 had been allocated to regional and local projects, including educational trips, sports equipment, and digital devices for the community center.
