Niedersächsische Lotto-Sport-Stiftung
About the funder
The Niedersächsische Lotto-Sport-Stiftung was established in January 2009 by resolution of the state government through the merger of the Niedersächsische Sportstiftung and the Niedersächsische Lottostiftung as a legally capable foundation under civil law. Its non-profit status was also recognized in January 2009. The foundation supports sports projects statewide in the areas of grassroots, competitive, and youth sports, promotes the integration of immigrants and people with a migration background, and pursues charitable purposes. Since 2017, it has received an annual state subsidy of €1 million and in 2021 funded projects and measures totaling €3.9 million. Its own programs include, among others, "Spielfeld Gesellschaft" as a platform for exchange and integration, "Mobilee" as a nationwide coordination center for social work with sports and movement, special COVID-19 activities for the digitalization of clubs, as well as the awarding of individual scholarships. Additionally, it manages the Neue-Presse-Sportstiftung as a special fund.
