About the funder

The Lower Saxony State Office for the Preservation of Monuments (NLD), based in Hanover, is the central state authority for monument preservation in the state of Lower Saxony. It is committed to the protection, conservation, and scientific study of architectural and archaeological heritage. Its core tasks include:
* Recording, inventorying, and documenting cultural monuments above and below ground
