About the funder

The Lower Saxony Ministry for Federal and European Affairs and Regional Development is a supreme state authority of the state of Lower Saxony. It coordinates the relations between the state government and the federal government as well as the European Union and promotes regional development in Lower Saxony. The ministry represents the interests of Lower Saxony at the federal and European policy levels and initiates programs to strengthen regional infrastructure and the economy.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to represent Lower Saxony in federal and European policy decision-making processes while simultaneously promoting the sustainable development of the regions within our state. We are committed to effective cooperation between municipalities, the state government, the federal government, and the EU, and we support projects that contribute to strengthening regional value creation, community cohesion, and long-term prosperity.

Target groups

Our funding and advisory services are aimed at municipal administrations, regional economic actors, civil society organizations, as well as other interested parties in Lower Saxony. We particularly support projects that advance regional development, promote innovation processes, and intensify the exchange between local actors, the federal government, and the European Union.
