About the funder
The Oberfrankenstiftung is a public law foundation based in Bayreuth with a scope of activity in the administrative district of Upper Franconia. It does not pursue its own projects but grants funding upon application for initiatives of other non-profit organizations. Within the framework of co-financing, it supports projects and investments of supraregional or entire Upper Franconian significance in the fields of social affairs, arts and culture, monument preservation, as well as science and research. The foundation places particular emphasis on innovative measures that create a sustainable regional added value.

Mission & Vision
The Oberfrankenstiftung aims to enhance the quality of life, cultural heritage, and innovative strength of Upper Franconia. To this end, it supports non-profit and innovative projects through financial grants and co-financing in the fields of social affairs, arts and culture, monument preservation, as well as science and research. We promote initiatives that achieve lasting regional benefits and sustainably enrich the community.
Target groups
Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations based in the administrative district of Upper Franconia, including social institutions, educational providers, cultural and art institutions, monument protection associations, as well as universities and research institutions. Individuals are generally not eligible for funding. The projects must have supra-regional or overall Upper Franconian significance and exhibit an innovative character.
