About the funder
The Paul Strecker Foundation was established in 1979 in Mainz and is a public foundation under civil law. It is dedicated to the preservation and exploration of the artistic estate of Paul Strecker (1898–1950) as well as the promotion of contemporary art. Its focus is on painting and drawing. To support emerging artists, the foundation awards the Paul Strecker Prize every three years.
