About the funder
Almut Diethelm established the Professor Dr. med. Lothar Diethelm Memorial Foundation in 2006 in memory of her husband, Prof. Dr. med. Lothar Diethelm (1910–2000). The foundation is a non-independent trust foundation under the umbrella of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz Foundation and is dedicated to promoting oncological research at the University Medical Center of JGU. To this end, it awards prizes to outstanding early-career researchers in the field of oncology.
