About the funder
The Regierungspräsidium Kassel is a state-level intermediate authority of general administration in Hesse. Acting as a link between the state government in Wiesbaden and the NorthEastHessen region, it implements state policy directives in the region, performs supervisory and advisory functions for subordinate authorities, and represents regional interests vis-à-vis ministries, districts, cities, and municipalities. With seven departments and 43 divisions, as well as approximately 1,800 employees, it covers a wide range of tasks – from nature conservation and infrastructure planning to social support and economic development.
