About the funder
The Richard Stury Foundation is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Munich. It promotes the arts and humanities through scholarships awarded to performing and visual artists as well as students of art, theater, and cultural studies. Additionally, it grants subsidies for printing costs of scientific publications, supports artistic and scholarly projects at museums, academies, and universities, and organizes its own scientific events, symposia, and conferences. The statute is administered by the Government of Upper Bavaria.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to promote art and the humanities in the German-speaking region. We support emerging artists and researchers through scholarships, project and publication funding, thereby creating space for creative and scientific innovation. We believe in the sustainable impact of art and science on society and culture.

Our funding programs are aimed at performing and visual artists, students of art, theater, and cultural studies, doctoral candidates and authors of humanities dissertations, as well as museums, academies, and universities for artistic-scientific projects.
