Rita-von-Gaudecker-Stiftung
About the funder
The Rita von Gaudecker Foundation was established in 2000 from a testamentary inheritance to permanently secure the long-standing work of the Rita von Gaudecker Aid Association. It supports people in need and charitable institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as in Poland, and in exceptional cases also assists people of German descent abroad. The foundation places great importance on personal support for the beneficiaries and allocates funds specifically where a relatively small effort can achieve significant impact. Since 2018, the foundation has been recognized as charitable by the Hannover tax office, making donations tax-deductible.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to provide sustainable support to people in material need and social institutions—primarily in Germany and Poland. We believe in the impact of personal care and aim to help where the social safety net has gaps. Through targeted, impact-oriented funding with limited resources, we create opportunities and strengthen trust and cohesion within communities.
Target groups
The Rita von Gaudecker Foundation is aimed at individuals in need and nonprofit organizations in Germany and Poland. In exceptional cases, people of German descent abroad are also supported. The foundation assists people disadvantaged by poverty, illness, or social isolation, as well as projects where significant benefits can be achieved with modest resources.
