Rudolf und Helene Glaser-Stiftung
About the funder
The Rudolf and Helene Glaser Foundation supports scientific projects in the fields of medicine and biosciences, with a focus on cancer and infarction research, as well as the natural sciences and technology. The foundation was established in 1982 by Senior Teacher Helene Glaser from Wiesbaden to support junior research groups and integrative research programs, particularly in large protected areas such as national parks and biosphere reserves. The foundation collaborates within the Donors' Association, among others, jointly with the Bauer Foundation, the Karl-Heinz Frenzen Foundation, and the Stemmler Foundation in the "Research Spirit!" program, as well as with the Bauer-Hollmann Foundation in the postdoctoral program "BEN – Biodiversity-Ecology-Nature."

Mission & Vision
The Rudolf and Helene Glaser Foundation is committed to promoting excellent medical and scientific research and, in particular, to providing young researchers with the opportunity to independently pursue innovative research programs. Our goal is to advance progress in cancer and infarction research as well as in biodiversity and nature conservation through targeted support of junior research groups and cooperation with partner foundations.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Rudolf and Helene Glaser Foundation are aimed at outstanding postdoctoral researchers as well as doctoral candidates in the fields of medicine, biosciences, and engineering. A focus lies on research projects in large protected areas along the German North and Baltic Sea coasts, as well as on integrative programs addressing biodiversity and climate resilience. The foundation supports both individual projects and the establishment of junior research groups in close cooperation with other foundations within the Donors' Association.
