Mission & Vision

The Rüdiger Kurt Bode Foundation aims to promote the responsible management of water as a vital resource. Through the awarding of the Water Resources Prize, it seeks to strengthen scientific research at the interface of science and society, foster interdisciplinary dialogue, and make innovative concepts for sustainable water resource management internationally visible.

Target groups

Scientists from the life sciences, natural sciences, and engineering sciences who develop outstanding concepts and strategies for the sustainable use of global water resources through interdisciplinary, practice-oriented research at German research institutions (or abroad integrated into the German scientific system) are supported. Both individuals and interdisciplinary working groups can apply for the Water Resources Award.
