About the funder

The S. and W. Quaisser Foundation was established in 1989 based on the joint will of Senta and Dr. Wolfgang Quaisser and was recognized as a legal foundation upon the death of the last spouse in 2003. It is based in Göttingen and exclusively pursues charitable purposes in accordance with §§ 51 et seq. of the German Tax Code (AO). The foundation is dedicated to the promotion and support of gifted orphans and so-called social orphans – children and adolescents without parental contact or support. To this end, it primarily supports vocational training and educational pathways within institutions of SOS Children's Villages e. V.

Mission & Vision

The S. and W. Quaisser Foundation is committed to providing disadvantaged orphans and social orphans with skills and prospects for an independent future. It supports education and training in SOS Children's Village facilities and thus aims to enable talented young people to make a successful start into adulthood.

Target groups

Talented orphans and social orphans – children and adolescents who have no contact with their biological parents or receive no support from them – are supported. The foundation focuses its funding on educational and vocational training in institutions of SOS Children's Villages e. V.
