About the funder

The Samaritan Institutions Fürstenwalde/Spree are a diaconal foundation under civil law, active since 1911 in disability and elderly care. At various locations in Brandenburg (including Fürstenwalde, Beeskow, Berkenbrück, Lindenberg, Rauen, and Forst/Lausitz), they operate residential, educational, and care services for people with and without disabilities, a daycare center, special education and vocational schools, workshops, as well as a nursing home. With over 800 employees across approximately 45 professions, the foundation aims to enable all people to lead a self-determined and meaningful life.

Target groups

The services of the Samariteranstalten are aimed at people of all ages, with and without disabilities, who require individual support in residential, educational, and care settings. This includes children and adolescents in integrative residential groups and special education schools, trainees and therapy participants at the Korczak School and the Autism Center, adults in assisted living arrangements or workshops, as well as elderly people in the nursing home.
