About the funder
The SBV-Helmut Schumann Foundation promotes cooperative community and neighborhood development in the districts of the Selbsthilfe Bauverein eG Flensburg. It supports projects and social institutions as well as private individuals who are committed to work with children, seniors, and neighborhoods or who require assistance in emergency situations. The foundation was established in 2002 in honor of its namesake, the long-serving SBV director and chairman Helmut Schumann, and manages an endowment capital primarily provided by SBV eG.
