Schöffel-Stiftung
About the funder
The Schöffel Foundation is a private family foundation based in Schwabmünchen (Bavaria). It was founded in 2011 by Hubert and Peter Schöffel to support social, regional, and environmental projects in the Augsburg region. Under the guiding principle "setting out together – making a sustainable impact," the focus is particularly on outdoor and experiential education programs for children and youth, as well as nature conservation initiatives. Since 2018, Peter and Jakob Schöffel have formed the board, and since 2025, Johanna Schöffel has coordinated project work together with the foundation council. Operationally, the foundation is supported by Monika Wagner.

Mission & Vision
We enable sustainable experiences for children and youth, fostering joy in physical activity in nature. At the same time, we actively contribute to the preservation and care of our environment through targeted conservation projects. Our initiatives combine nature, movement, and education, thereby strengthening awareness of a sustainable way of life. Furthermore, we assume social and regional responsibility in our local community.
Target groups
The funding programs are primarily aimed at children and young people, especially from the Augsburg region, who wish to experience sustainable nature and sports activities. In addition, the foundation supports regional school, social, and environmental projects that also benefit families, people with disabilities, and socially disadvantaged groups.
