About the funder
The Schrader Foundation was established in 2019 from the estate of Wolfgang Schrader, who studied meteorology at the University of Hamburg in the 1970s. As a legally recognized foundation under civil law, it aims to promote research and students in the field of meteorology. To this end, the foundation awards scholarships to particularly deserving students of meteorology and atmospheric science at the University of Hamburg within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium.

Mission & Vision
The Schrader Foundation is committed to supporting young talents in the field of meteorology and advancing scientific research in this area. Its mission is to promote students of the University of Hamburg through the awarding of scholarships, who distinguish themselves by outstanding achievements in meteorology and atmospheric science and who aim to make a valuable contribution to the further development of the discipline in the future.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Schrader Foundation are aimed at students of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at the University of Hamburg. Support is provided to those who, within the framework of the Deutschlandstipendium, demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and special commitment, and whose further education and research in the field of atmospheric sciences are to be strengthened.
