Schubert-Durand-Stiftung

The Schubert-Durand Foundation, based in Lörrach, was established to promote the integration and participation of women and girls of all nationalities, particularly refugees, in the Lörrach district. Since 2006, it has organized a variety of low-threshold offerings such as women's breakfasts, language courses for mothers with children, excursions, festivals, and empowerment projects. The courses are often led by volunteers and funded through public resources (e.g., Federal Office for Migration and Refugees) as well as third-party funds. The goal is to facilitate networking, language acquisition, and intercultural exchange.

The Schubert-Durand Foundation is committed to strengthening the self-determination, education, and social participation of women and girls of all backgrounds. Through personal support, workshops, language promotion, and cultural events, it fosters integration and empowerment, builds social networks, and supports women in actively participating in social life.

The funding opportunities are primarily aimed at women and girls of all nationalities, with a focus on refugees and recent immigrants. This includes mothers with young children, women without access to state-funded courses, as well as older women. The projects target individuals and groups who wish to acquire language skills, establish social contacts, and maintain their cultural traditions in small, low-threshold formats.
