Section for Arts and Culture of the responsible Federal Ministry

Our mission is to sustainably secure the diversity and quality of the Austrian art and cultural scene. We create fair framework conditions, promote innovative projects, and ensure equal opportunities for artists of all disciplines. Through collaborative partnerships with the federal government, states, and interest groups, we contribute to social participation and the further development of cultural life.

The offerings of the section are aimed at cultural institutions, cultural associations and initiatives, interest groups, professional and trade associations, funding bodies at all administrative levels, as well as individual artists in Austria. Projects and undertakings that contribute to cultural diversity, fairness, and sustainability are supported – ranging from individual projects and festivals to institutions and networks.
