About the funder
The Sparkassen-Stiftung Groß-Gerau is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Groß-Gerau. It was established in 1985 by the Kreissparkasse Groß-Gerau and pursues exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the German Tax Code. The foundation supports art & culture, sports, and youth in the Groß-Gerau district. For this purpose, it has an endowment of approximately EUR 3.5 million at its disposal, which has continuously grown through additional contributions from the savings bank and third parties. Since its founding, nearly EUR 2 million in funding has been provided. As a regional partner, it supports both its own projects and external funding initiatives and regularly initiates cultural, sporting, and social programs.

Our mission is to sustainably secure the quality of life in the Groß-Gerau district and to strengthen the unique character of the region. We are committed to promoting innovative projects in the fields of arts & culture, sports, and youth, enabling social participation, and further developing talents. In doing so, we see ourselves as a reliable partner for municipalities, clubs, schools, and cultural institutions.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Sparkassen-Stiftung Groß-Gerau are aimed at public and private actors in the Groß-Gerau district, including artists and cultural institutions (museums, festivals, dialect initiatives), youth and young adults (schools, clubs, choirs, music competitions), sports clubs, schools and groups in recreational sports (children’s sports schools, holiday camps, competitions), as well as municipalities, kindergartens, and social institutions seeking to implement projects in the aforementioned areas.
