Mission & Vision
We are the foundation for the individual promotion of youth elite and top-level sports in the state of Hesse. We are a network of athletes, coaches, and supporters, and we base our success on this. We help people develop their athletic potential. Integrity, athlete welfare, and fair play form the foundation of our actions. We support Hesse’s squad athletes and coaches on their path to national and international excellence – especially in Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic sports, as well as in Special Olympics and World Games. We provide performance-based, needs-oriented, reliable, sustainable, and transparent support.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Sportstiftung Hessen are aimed at young elite and top-level athletes from Hesse as well as qualified coaches. Support is provided to athletes with at least two years of squad membership at the state or national level and a sports-related recommendation from the state sports association. The focus is on promising talents from Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic, Special Olympics, and World Games disciplines, as well as their long-term development from youth to senior levels.
