About the funder
The Sportstiftung Südbaden is a private foundation based in Lörrach, dedicated to the individual elite sports promotion of young talents in the Südbaden region. In close coordination with the Badischer Sportbund Freiburg, the Freiburg-Schwarzwald Olympic Training Center, and local sports clubs, it expands the financial scope for junior elite athletes from private sources. Since its founding, the foundation has enabled ambitious athletes to continue their careers in Südbaden instead of having to change their training location.

Mission & Vision
The mission of the Sportstiftung Südbaden is to support athletic talents from our region on their path to the national and international top level through targeted financial assistance. In doing so, we act as a complement to existing funding instruments and create sustainable prospects for elite athletes in Südbaden.
Target groups
Young athletes from South Baden who are active in youth competitive sports (e.g., biathlon, wrestling, cycling, weightlifting, tennis) and are selected in close cooperation with the Olympic Training Center Freiburg-Black Forest are supported. The foundation targets individuals and teams from non-profit clubs aiming to compete successfully at national or international levels.
