St. Georg Klosterstiftung

The St. Georg Monastery Foundation was established in 2015, headquartered in Bernau near Berlin. It promotes art and culture, monument protection, and preservation, supports those persecuted for political, racial, or religious reasons, refugees, and war victims, and advocates for gender equality. Furthermore, it realizes charitable and ecclesiastical purposes, including workshops on icon creation, support for cultural-historical initiatives, preservation of the listed manor house in Götschendorf, and the construction of new buildings on the monastery grounds.

"What that lasts long, lasts stronger and better! We are committed to peace and freedom!" – The St. Georg Monastery Foundation aims to promote intercultural dialogue and provide sustainable support for those in need through the promotion of art and culture, monument preservation, and humanitarian projects.

The funding programs are aimed at artists, artisans, and cultural workers (e.g., art schools, workshops, academies), politically, racially, or religiously persecuted individuals, refugees, displaced persons, resettlers, war victims and disabled persons, as well as civilian victims and people with disabilities, women and men to promote equality, and persons in need due to physical, mental, or financial limitations.
