About the funder
The State Leadership Academy for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry (FüAk) is an institution of the Free State of Bavaria within the portfolio of the Bavarian State Ministry for Nutrition, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism. It serves as a central service office and competence center for administration, technical supervision, and support in the fields of agriculture and forestry. Its responsibilities include, among others, the training and further education of employees of the Offices for Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry (ÄELF) and their associated partners, legal advice and technical supervision in agricultural and forestry law as well as appeal and litigation procedures, the processing and coordination of state, EU, and co-financed funding programs such as bee promotion, the EU school program, and market structure support, the central awarding of Europe-wide tenders and framework agreements, the operation of nationwide databases and IT services for agricultural administration (land monitoring, iBALIS, eFile), public relations, as well as central editorial management of websites and publications such as the professional journal “School and Counseling,” and finally controlling and budget monitoring of the ÄELF as well as personnel and legal advice.

Target groups
The funding and service offerings of the FüAk are primarily aimed at the employees of the Offices for Nutrition, Agriculture, and Forestry in Bavaria, their network partners, and non-governmental consulting companies (network consulting). In addition, agricultural and forestry enterprises, beekeepers, producer organizations, school and daycare providers within the framework of the EU School Program, as well as all actors involved in innovative projects in the agricultural and forestry sectors (e.g., EIP-Agri, technology and research networks), benefit from these offerings.
