Mission & Vision
Our mission is to ensure the protection and sustainable use of water bodies in Vienna through efficient and legally compliant processing of water law matters. We promote integrated water management, provide competent advice to those seeking assistance, and contribute significantly to preserving the ecological quality of our rivers, streams, and groundwater resources through targeted inspections.
Target groups
The services and offerings of the Department for Water Law are aimed at authorized hunters and professional hunters for the appointment of gamekeepers, as well as at landowners, companies, and technical operations requiring water law permits. Furthermore, we support planners, investors, and authorities with water law assessments and information, and respond to inquiries from private individuals regarding water protection and compliance with environmental regulations.
