Stiftung Basler Mission – Deutscher Zweig
About the funder
The Stiftung Basler Mission – Deutscher Zweig (BMDZ) is a non-profit foundation under church law based in Stuttgart. It was established in 2003 to secure the historically grown legacy of the Basel Mission in Southwest Germany financially in the long term and to promote missionary projects in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. As part of the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS), the BMDZ supports partner churches such as the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC), the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria (EYN), the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan (PCOSS), and other partners both institutionally and financially. In addition to project funding, it is involved in educational and partnership work, organizes international workcamps, and facilitates intercultural encounters.

Its goal is to bring the liberating message of the Gospel to life in word and deed, to assist people in need, and to foster intercultural exchange – not by might or power, but by the Spirit of God.
