Public foundation

About the funder

The Foundation for Disabled Sports in Saxony-Anhalt was established in 2005 as a private foundation under civil law. It originated from an initiative of the Association for the Promotion of Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Saxony-Anhalt e.V. (resolution 1996) and in cooperation with the state of Saxony-Anhalt. With an endowment of €1,050,000 (financed from state budget funds), the foundation does not aim to compensate for public funding but generates additional resources to meet the growing financial needs in the field of disabled sports. As a model foundation for disabled sports in Germany, it specifically supports sports projects, barrier-free infrastructure, and model events.
