About the funder
The Foundation for Disabled Sports in Saxony-Anhalt is a civil law foundation based in Magdeburg. Founded in 2005 as a joint initiative with the state of Saxony-Anhalt, it has an endowment capital of 1,050,000 euros, primarily financed from the state budget. The purpose of the foundation is to promote disabled sports in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. This is implemented in particular through the support of sports projects aimed at strengthening "help for self-help" for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, the promotion of lifelong sports programs offered by clubs and associations, the expansion and maintenance of barrier-free training and meeting facilities, as well as the organization of events and model projects in the field of disabled sports. The foundation complements public funding and generates additional resources to meet the growing financial needs in this area.

Mission & Vision

Target groups

This includes individuals as well as groups, associations, and non-profit organizations that develop innovative, lifelong sports programs or establish barrier-free infrastructure. Model projects and events in the field of disability sports can also apply for funding.
