About the funder

Stiftung Bordenau is a legal, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Bordenau (a district of Neustadt am Rübenberge). Founded in 1990 by 18 founders, it aims to promote historical research and publication on the local history of Bordenau, to build collections and archives, to support cultural and artistic initiatives as well as monument preservation in the village, and to implement projects that particularly benefit the village. Furthermore, the foundation regularly awards sponsorship prizes and newcomer prizes to individuals and groups who distinguish themselves through outstanding achievements in line with the foundation’s purpose.

Mission & Vision

The Bordenau Foundation is committed to promoting the cultural heritage and vibrant community of Bordenau. Our goal is to support creative, artistic, communicative, peace-promoting, and cultural projects in and for Bordenau, to advance historical research and monument preservation, and to recognize outstanding achievements through the awarding of grants. We see ourselves as a driving force for civic engagement and village development and aim to provide initiatives, associations, and individuals with a platform to realize their ideas in the interest of the common good.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Stiftung Bordenau are aimed at initiatives, associations, institutions, and individuals based in Bordenau who wish to implement projects in the fields of local history, culture, art, monument preservation, and social cohesion. This includes church congregations, support associations for kindergartens and schools, musical and sports groups, artistic initiatives, as well as individuals committed to revitalizing and preserving the village community through innovative and charitable projects.
