Stiftung Brückner-Kühner
About the funder
The Brückner-Kühner Foundation is a private foundation based in Kassel. It was established in 1984 by the writers Christine Brückner and Otto Heinrich Kühner, who returned their literary earnings to literature in this way. The foundation is committed to contemporary literature, language culture, and radio drama, with a special focus on comedy and grotesque humor. It annually awards the Kassel Literature Prize for Grotesque Humor (€10,000) and the Promotional Prize for Comic Literature (€3,000), organizes festivals, readings, and projects, and operates the Dichterhaus as a literature museum.
