Stiftung Büderich

Religious organization

About the funder

The Büderich Foundation was established in March 2009 on the initiative of members of the Catholic parish of St. Mauritius & Holy Spirit and was recognized as a non-profit church foundation by the Archbishop of Cologne and the Düsseldorf District Government. Its aim is to sustainably strengthen community life in Büderich through financial and ideal support of projects in the fields of child and youth work, art, culture and music, seniors, hospice care, people with disabilities, Caritas, and history. The foundation seeks to engage citizens distant from the church, anchor Christian values in public life, and secure civic engagement even in times of tight budgets.

Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Büderich acts out of Christian conviction and places people at the center. It assumes responsibility for the community – today and for future generations – and supports projects with heart, compassion, a sense of responsibility, reliability, foresight, and sustainability. The long-term goal is to create a strong, connected, and vibrant Büderich.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at the citizens of the municipality of Büderich (city of Meerbusch) of all age groups. The focus is on children and youth (including youth work, educational projects, cultural pirates), seniors and people with disabilities (including senior work, church taxi, Silberfon), church and charitable institutions as well as initiatives, and cultural and traditional projects (e.g., St. Martin's Committee). The foundation supports individuals, groups, and institutions that promote forward-looking, Christian, and social engagement in Büderich.
