About the funder
The Stiftung Bürger für Münster is a non-profit organization committed to a strong, social, and livable Münster. Its goal is to bring people together to jointly promote education, culture, and social cohesion. With over 300 volunteers, it develops innovative projects and initiatives for children, youth, seniors, and refugees. In partnership with municipal institutions and associations, the foundation strengthens cohesion within the urban community and provides unbureaucratic support where it is needed most.

Mission & Vision
In Münster – for Münster. The Stiftung Bürger für Münster embodies civic engagement and community spirit. It sees itself as a partner of civil society and fosters social cohesion in the city through charitable and voluntary work. In doing so, it is committed to education, culture, and ecology, particularly in areas insufficiently addressed by politics and administration.
Target groups
The projects and funding programs of the foundation are aimed at citizens of Münster who wish to engage in volunteer work, as well as initiatives, associations, and institutions that implement community-oriented projects. This includes, in particular, children, young people, seniors, and refugees, for whom the foundation develops tailored formats to support their promotion and participation. At the same time, it invites companies and donors to engage as supporters and sponsors for a strong sense of community in Münster.
