About the funder
The Foundation of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Alt-Garbsen was established in 2002 as a parish foundation and comprises three thematic foundations (Children and Youth Foundation since 2007, Music Foundation since 2012). With assets exceeding one million euros, it permanently supports parish projects and initiatives through the use of interest income. The funded areas include social work, children and youth work, senior activities, training of volunteer staff, music in the village church, cultural offerings, as well as the preservation of parish buildings and furnishings. The foundation is legally independent, works closely with the parish, and keeps administrative costs low through volunteer engagement.

Mission & Vision
The foundation supports the diverse offerings and activities of the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Alt-Garbsen in a long-term and sustainable manner by permanently preserving the invested capital and using only the proceeds for funding purposes. In this way, parish work is to be strengthened, volunteers supported, and the cultural as well as social diversity in Alt-Garbsen secured.

The foundation's funding is aimed at the members and active participants of the Alt-Garbsen Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation: children, youth, and seniors, volunteers, musicians and cultural workers, as well as initiatives that promote social cohesion, cultural offerings, and the preservation of church buildings in Alt-Garbsen.
