About the funder

The Stiftung der Freimaurerloge ROLAND is a non-profit private civil foundation of the Freemason Lodge Roland No. 489 in the Orient Hamburg. It was established to promote humanistic educational and social projects. Recurring activities include partnerships with the Friedrich Ludwig Schröder Children's Foundation for the individual support of children from single-parent families, support of cultural experiences (e.g., opera visits such as "Hansel and Gretel"), prevention and awareness projects, accompaniment and financial support of hospice care models and psychosocial initiatives, actions to alleviate poverty and homelessness, as well as traditional St. Nicholas and Christmas activities for disadvantaged children and youth.

Mission & Vision

The Stiftung der Freimaurerloge ROLAND is committed to empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through humanistic education, cultural participation, and psychosocial support. Our goal is to promote individual potential, create equal opportunities, and foster social cohesion through concrete projects and collaborative partnerships.

Target groups

Our funding programs are primarily aimed at children and young people from socially and economically disadvantaged families, single parents and their children (in cooperation with the FLSKS), people with health impairments (cancer patients, hospice patients), people in precarious life situations (homeless), as well as initiatives and organizations that promote diversity, prevention, and education.
