Stiftung der Hochschule für Musik Detmold

Since its founding in 2006, the Stiftung der Hochschule für Musik Detmold has built an endowment capital of more than 2 million euros through additional donations and contributions from private individuals, companies, and institutions. Held in trust by the Stiftung Standortsicherung Kreis Lippe, the university foundation supports young musical talents at the HfM Detmold. Its main areas of support are the Detmold Young Students Institute and the Detmold Summer Academy. Furthermore, the foundation establishes instrument funds, special scholarships, and project grants, supports concert tours, university competitions, student initiatives, and provides prize money to actively promote the artistic and nationwide profile of the university.

The Foundation of the Detmold University of Music is committed to supporting musically gifted children, adolescents, and students under optimal conditions and enabling them to receive the best possible artistic education through scholarships, instrument loans, and project support. It promotes knowledge transfer, personal development, and artistic exchange, thereby making a sustainable contribution to the future of music education and musical training.

Talented children and young people at the Detmold Young Students Institute, prize winners of the federal competition "Jugend musiziert" at the Detmold Summer Academy, as well as students of the HfM Detmold are supported. In addition, ensembles, university competitions, concert initiatives, and student engagement benefit from project funds, scholarships, and instrument loans to support young musicians in their artistic and pedagogical development.
