About the funder
The Support Association of the Stiftung Deutsch-Nordische Burse e. V. is a non-profit organization with approximately 200 members, founded on October 27, 1979. It provides both ideological and material support to the traditional Kiel student residence Deutsch-Nordische Burse. The funds of the Support Association are invested in the modernization and furnishing of common areas (computer, television, fitness rooms, library, kitchens), in the provision of sports equipment (billiard table, kayaks), as well as in the promotion of cultural and sporting activities (concerts, theater and museum visits).

Mission & Vision
The support association is committed to providing residents of the Deutsch-Nordische Burse with a homely and vibrant environment. It supports student initiatives both ideologically and financially to promote the rich cultural interaction between German and Nordic students and to sustainably strengthen the community.
Target groups
The funding programs are primarily aimed at current and former residents of the Deutsch-Nordische Burse. They are intended to contribute through commitment and membership fees to preserving the unique living and study environment for future generations of students. However, anyone who wishes to actively support the work of the support association can become a member.
