About the funder
Since 1965, the Stiftung Deutsche Jugendmarke e. V. has managed the proceeds from the sale of the annual "For Youth" Plus postage stamps issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance, under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister responsible for Youth. With these funds, it supports nationally recognized independent and public providers of child and youth welfare throughout Germany. To date, more than 2,000 projects and educational institutions have been supported with over €226 million – ranging from innovative pilot projects and construction and expansion initiatives to practice-oriented research studies. The foundation places special emphasis on forward-looking and practice-relevant endeavors that provide impetus for the entire child and youth welfare sector.
