Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Deutsches Design Museum aims to convey the societal significance of design and to promote creative problem-solving processes. Through practice-oriented workshops, interdisciplinary funding programs, and digital mediation, it strengthens aesthetic and technological competencies, supports sustainable thinking, and empowers young people to actively and responsibly shape their environment. Together with partners from politics, business, and culture, it creates platforms for exchange, education, and innovation.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Stiftung Deutsches Design Museum are primarily aimed at students from the 8th grade onwards across all school types, teachers, and educational multipliers. In addition, designers, creative professionals, cultural institutions, and the interested public are addressed. The goal is to sensitize and empower both young people and professional audiences to design awareness, social and ecological sustainability, as well as intercultural collaboration.
