The Stiftung Deutsches Forum für Kriminalprävention (DFK) is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Bonn. Its sponsors include the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) as well as other governmental and non-governmental donors. The DFK consolidates resources and expertise from science, practice, and politics, promotes knowledge transfer and networking among prevention actors, and raises public awareness. The foundation develops and supports holistic approaches to crime prevention, among others through professional journals, information portals, consulting, funding programs, and cooperation at the federal, state, and municipal levels.

Mission & Vision
The German Forum for Crime Prevention Foundation (DFK) regards comprehensive societal prevention as a central task for a safe and livable coexistence. It assumes a leading role in ethical, intercultural, and educational issues, promotes synergies between governmental and non-governmental institutions, consolidates expertise and best practice experiences, and involves all societal forces to effectively prevent crime.
Target groups
The funding and information services of the DFK are aimed at all actors involved in crime prevention in Germany: authorities and ministries at the federal, state, and municipal levels, civil society organizations, researchers, professionals in education and care, businesses, as well as citizens and neighborhoods. The goal is to make expertise accessible, establish targeted funding measures, and strengthen the overall societal participation in the prevention mandate.
