Mission & Vision

The Dianiño Foundation aims to provide children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes security, guidance, and inclusion in challenging situations. We believe that every child can lead a carefree and self-determined life despite their illness. Through practical everyday support and training for families as well as educational and sports caregivers, we close gaps in care and promote the psychosocial stability of our target group.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Dianiño Foundation are primarily aimed at children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes as well as their families in special stressful situations (e.g., following diagnosis, family crises, psychological burdens). Additionally, educational professionals in daycare centers and schools, coaches in sports and leisure clubs, and treating diabetes teams benefit from targeted training and support services. The assistance is free of charge and available nationwide.
