Founded in 2003, the Stiftung Erinnerung Ulm – for Democracy, Tolerance, and Human Dignity is dedicated to the critical examination of the history of National Socialism in the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region and the transmission of its lessons to the present. Mission & Vision
"Learning from the past, shaping the future": The foundation aims to translate historical knowledge about National Socialism in Ulm/Neu-Ulm into the political culture of the present, to raise awareness of discrimination, racism, and anti-Semitism, and to encourage courageous commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.
Target groups
Primarily supported are institutions and projects recognized as worthy of funding by the Documentation Center Oberer Kuhberg Ulm e. V. These include scientific research projects, educational initiatives for youth and adults, educational programs at schools and memorial sites, as well as initiatives dedicated to preserving the memory of the victims of National Socialist persecution and supporting their relatives.
