About the funder
The European Culture and Education Foundation is a legally recognized civil law foundation established in 2011, headquartered in Nonnweiler-Otzenhausen. It originated from the 22-year active association "FORUM EUROPA – Association for the Promotion of European Culture and Education e. V." and continues its work under the same objectives. The foundation initiates, designs, and supports numerous cultural and educational events (over 100 cultural events to date) in the Greater Saarland region that have a European focus. It works closely with partners such as the European Academy Otzenhausen gGmbH and the Europa-Union Germany and is committed long-term to projects like the Arboretum Europaeum, the Cerda & Celtoi Sculpture Trail, and the maintenance of an extensive gallery of contemporary European art.

Mission & Vision
We promote European identity through culture and education because we are convinced that these two elements are indispensable for the unification of Europe. Our mission is to create cultural and educational opportunities that inspire people, broaden horizons, and embed the European idea within civil society.

Our target group consists of citizens interested in culture and Europe, particularly in Saarland and the Greater Region. We address individuals, groups, and institutions seeking innovative cultural formats with a European focus, as well as artists, cultural practitioners, and educational actors who wish to participate in collaborations and events.
