Mission & Vision

Our mission is to promote art and culture in Passau and the surrounding region, with a special focus on music and European cooperation. We are committed to the realization of a concert hall of high quality and acoustic excellence and aim to establish a permanent cultural venue through financial support and idealistic backing. By awarding the Volker Mangold Music Prize and supporting regional ensembles, we contribute to a vibrant cultural landscape and intellectual exchange throughout Europe.

Target groups

The foundation targets musicians, ensembles, choirs, and orchestras from the city and the Lower Bavarian region who wish to realize a sophisticated concert program. It supports both established artists and emerging talents through financial grants and in-kind support. In particular, projects that create a link between university events, regional musical life, and European cooperative initiatives are promoted.
